    At TRAC's Interstar Road Service division, success is measured by our ability to get semi trucks, tractors, trailers and chassis back on the road quickly with quality workmanship at a fair price.  TRAC Interstar is seeking a Repair Service Coordinator to join our growing repair service dispatch team in Florence, KY.  We are looking for a team member who exemplifies our core values, has a positive attitude and enjoys learning and working in a team environment.  As the frontline of our organization, the Repair Service Coordinator will answer incoming calls from customers to capture emergency breakdown service requests, offer solutions and dispatch repair service providers in an expeditious manner.  Employees are expected to be highly professional, courteous and friendly while gathering and providing accurate information to customers.  

    Responsibilities

    • Provide excellent customer service while speaking with customers and vendors in the trucking industry, in accordance with training
    • Dispatch tire, mechanical and towing service to vendors with a focus on Intermodal repairs, and dispatching most profitable vendors first
    • Resolve on-demand customer requests
    • Attend training to gain detailed knowledge of minor and major mechanical repairs
    • Become an expert on our Emergency Road Side repair products and services
    • Follow all customer guidelines precisely, based on the customer profile; not memory
    • Communicate clear expectations, all repair information and estimated time of arrival
    • Follow up with customers in a timely manner to keep them informed
    • Read customer file to ensure proper billing
    • Use computer systems including documenting in our AS/400 system daily 
    • Identify and escalate priority issues and route calls to appropriate resource
    • Achieve monthly targets for close percentage, gross profit per job and other targets

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to amicably resolve disputes with customers and vendors
    • Attention to detail to collect and record all information accurately
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills 
    • Experience effectively using computers and learning new computer programs 
    • Able to work under pressure handling multiple requests
    • Able to work set schedule with excellent attendance (shifts vary) 
    • Transportation / Trucking / Logistics industry experience is a big plus 
    • Familiar with Microsoft office products
    • This position requires sitting at a work station, carrying out a variety of both manual and computerized data entry and processing tasks
