  • Overview

    TRAC Intermodal Administration, customer service and support of M&R staff and all processes and programs involving pool chassis and pool operations for various operating locations including rail, marine terminals and container depots. Work with terminal staff and M&R vendors to provide our customers with safe, reliable equipment, in full compliance with all regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform administrative tasks required including generating (from M&R field staff input) vendor audits, reports, measure progress, estimate/work order vs. invoice comparison and follow-up involving pool locations as directed in a timely manner
    • Perform collection, logging, dissemination, and coding (where applicable) to ensure accurate tracking of all manual invoices and chassis terminations
    • Accurately compile and generate rebill claims for chassis damages as received from the field and/or invoice review
    • Review, track, and follow up on all Remark and Coop/Decoop projects to ensure proper remarking is being performed; provide direction for M&R field to repair vendors on necessary reconciliation steps needed
    • Maintain email correspondence and reports tracking the all license plates received from TRAC’s Licensing department and disseminated to M&R field staff

    Qualifications

    • 2 or more years of experience within the Transportation industry
    • Kowledge of the Intermodal Transportation industry with an understanding of chassis operations and maintenance requirements for intermodal equipment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
    • Ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Must be able to multi-task and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
    • Must comply with OSHA regulations and specific location safety policies and procedures
    • Ability to perform common mathematical calculations and record data elements
    • This job function is performed on-site at a container yard depot facility.  It is primarily indoors but you might be required to go out in the yard therefore significant safety precautions and safety gear will be necessary (and provided)
    • Tempo is fast-paced with stringent deadlines
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Must have a valid driver’s license, and pass a background check
