  • Overview

    TRAC Tire Services is looking for a regional driver to work Monday - Friday, occasionally returning on Saturday. Routes will be driven to the following cities: Cleveland, Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, as well as other routes as needed.  This position must unload and load tires weighing up to 150bs into and out of their truck with liftgate or ramps when at most customer sites. Drivers are responsible for ensuring all shipping paperwork is correctly and completely filled out and signed by the customer. Drivers must account for all product on and off the truck. Drivers are additionally responsible for turning all paperwork in to the home office. Drivers must be able to accurately maintain their drivers logs and expense reporting while out on the road.

    • Meticulously keep driver logs to ensure DOT requirements are being upheld and tracked properly
    • Interface with customers when delivering tires and ensure customer is treated courteously and respectfully
    • Maintain shipping and receiving documents. Ensuring signatures are obtained for ALL deliveries and ensuring they are remitted to the office timely upon return
    • Unloading tires that weigh up to 150lbs off truck and loading tire casings on the truck using liftgates and ramps
    • Track and keep expenses and turn in an expense report on a biweekly/monthly basis
    • Keep company truck clean and presentable and keep track of the truck maintenance schedule
    • Ensuring all deliveries are timely (weather permitting) and all dock appointments are met

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to lift 110lb tires multiple times a day.
    • Must be able to roll 150lb tires up a ramp multiple times a day.
    • Either have a class B license or be willing to obtain one shortly after working with TRAC
    • Willing to stay out of town 1-4 nights a week.
    • Must have a DOT Physical or be able to pass a DOT physical
    • Able to pass a background check including driving background check.
    • Needs to be available to work 45 – 55 hours on average per week and up to 65 per week.
    • High school diploma or GED
